POP stands for point of purchase: the material that sits next to the product right where the shopper decides. On a shelf full of options, a good POP piece makes your product the one seen first.
Pieces that work in store
- Shelf wobbler: sticks out from the shelf and breaks the aisle’s visual line. Ideal for launches and promotions.
- Shelf strip: visually ties together several products from the same brand along the shelf.
- Acrylic display: shows the product on the counter, near the checkout.
- Product riser: lifts the product so it stands above the rest.
- Rail price holder: keeps the price clear and easy to change.
- Ceiling hanger: visible from the store entrance and points to where the promotion is.
Simple design rules
- One message per piece. People read in two seconds.
- Price or benefit in large type.
- Brand colors, so it is recognized from a distance.
- Ask first what sizes each supermarket chain allows.
How to measure the return
Compare sales of the same product in the same store with and without the piece over the same number of weeks. The difference in units times your margin is what the piece generated. Subtract its cost and you have the return.
If you have several stores, test the piece in some of them first and compare with the rest before producing for the whole chain.
Custom production
Many POP pieces are made in acrylic, PVC or cardboard, cut to size. If you need a special shape, we can make a physical proof before the batch so you can approve it in the real store.
