December is the busiest corporate gifting season in Panama. Companies thank clients, suppliers and employees, and they all do it at the same time. That is why it pays to decide early and choose items people use instead of leaving them in a drawer.
Ideas used all year
- Tumblers and bottles: with Panama’s heat, they get daily use at the office and in the car.
- Notebooks: a classic for teams and clients who work in meetings.
- Backpacks: a higher-value gift for key clients.
- Mugs: affordable and effective for large teams.
- Full kit: several items in a branded gift box.
How to build the budget
Split recipients into groups: key clients, general clients, suppliers and internal team. Assign one item and one amount to each group. That keeps the budget from going entirely to a single group.
How far ahead to order
Customization (embroidery, engraving, printing) takes time, and in November and December every workshop is full. Request your quote in October or early November. If you need high volume, sourcing from China needs even more lead time.
The detail that makes the difference
A handwritten card with the person’s name and careful packaging make the gift feel thoughtful. The logo should be there, but discreet: a gift that looks like an ad gets used less.
How to measure the return
A corporate gift is measured in relationship, not immediate sales. In the first quarter, check which clients replied, renewed or referred someone. That is the sign the gift did its job.
