The lanyard is the strap that holds the badge. At conferences, fairs and offices it is one of the pieces with the most hours of brand exposure: it hangs around the neck all day and shows up in almost every photo.
Three types of strap
- Plain lanyard: single-color polyester. Affordable and fast, for events where the brand color is enough.
- Sublimated lanyard: full-color print on both sides. Allows gradients, patterns and sponsor logos.
- Tubular lanyard: round, lightweight cord for large events on a tight budget.
Width
The most common widths range from 15 to 25 mm. A wider strap makes the logo easier to read; a narrower one is lighter and cheaper. If the lanyard carries the event name and sponsors, choose the widest.
Attachments
- A swivel hook keeps the badge from flipping.
- A breakaway safety clasp is recommended around machinery or crowds.
- A detachable buckle lets people remove the badge without taking off the strap.
The badge holder
A rigid badge holder protects the credential better and can be reused. A flexible badge holder is cheaper for one-day events. Check that the holder size matches the printed badge.
How to order
Tell us the quantity, strap type, width, one- or two-sided print and the attachment. If you have several access levels, you can use one strap color per level and combine it with wristband control.
