When it makes sense
- When you need high volume of the same item, such as t-shirts, tote bags or tumblers for a national campaign.
- When you want a product with a shape, color or packaging not sold in Panama.
- When you plan months ahead, such as for year-end or a product-line launch.
When it does not
- When the event is a few weeks away.
- When you need few units.
- When the product already exists locally and only needs customizing.
What to add up
The factory price is only part of it. The real math includes freight, duties, customs handling, transit time and the risk that the batch does not come out as expected. That is why a pre-production sample and quality control at origin are key.
